Ticket prices for a one-day music festival at Dalkeith Country Park next month have been labelled “poor value for money”.
Held under the banner of ‘Midfest’, Midlothian Council’s nine-day celebration of arts (September 6-14), the Grown in Scotland music festival will be held on September 6.
Acts on the bill include The View and Big Country, with tickets priced at £37.50 for ‘adults’ aged 13 and over, and £5 for children 12 and under.
Dalkeith woman Danielle Rowley (24) says local teenagers will miss out: “I applaud people trying to organise more cultural events in the area but fear that there will be many families who cannot afford to go.”
