A Danderhall man is embarking on a new venture to develop a mobile military museum.
After taking much of his collection of memorabilia to schools across Scotland, Ian Inglis (49) has decided to create a museum with display cabinets and information boards.
The exhibition gets its first airing at Danderhall Community Centre today (Wednesday) from 10am to 2pm.
He said: “I have got a lot of family medals and a huge collection of brass shell cases.
“I have got a few weapons and lots of pictures and pieces of uniforms.”
The exhibition is divided into four areas – World War One, World War Two, the Home Front, and post-WW2.
Ian has already got some bookings for January and will be touring England in July.
