Developers building the new Loanhead relief road have apologised for the “unacceptable” delays caused by recent roadworks.
Updating Loanhead and District Community Council last week, Simon Dormer, representing Straiton Park Limited, said the contractor had “been taken to task” over the “unacceptable” delays at weekends.
The temporary lights were in place while work was carried out to increase the size of the roundabout at the McDonald’s end of Straiton Retail Park.
Mr Dormer said: “I can only apologise for the inconvenience the project has brought forward. We were very concerned about issues which might delay our project.”
