Dr Sandy Sutherland who retired from Pathhead Medical Centre on Monday 31st March having been a GP there for over 30 years.

Doctor Sandy Sutherland has retired from Pathhead Medical Centre after working there for 32 years.

He said: “I have had a very happy time at Pathhead, it’s been a great place to work.”

The doctor, who will carry on in part-time roles at Glasgow 2014 and doing GP appraisals, added: “When I started out patients were seen at hospital for things like diabetes and now they are coming to us. I think people respond better to getting care in their local practice.”
