A Midlothian-based company which supports art college applicants received a business boost from Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis.

Julie Read, owner of Portfolio Oomph, tweeted Theo about her business during “Small Business Sunday”, an initiative set up by the TV star that runs weekly.

Theo re-tweeted Julie’s message to his 435,000 followers and as a result, the business has 200 more followers taking the brand to a wider audience. It is also profiled on a new website that is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners.

Portfolio Oomph is an online hub that specialises in supporting students applying to art college. It provides mentoring, ebooks and ecourses, a resourceful website and face-to-face courses.
