A PENICUIK-based theatre company is celebrating after receiving funding to continue work on a trilogy of plays.
The Engross Theatre Group, established five years ago, performs curriculum-based plays to special needs schools across the Lothians.
Artistic director and co-founder Yvonne Moore welcomed the £4829 grant from the Bank of Scotland Foundation. The group is one of five charities to share more than £24,700 in the latest round of financial support from the foundation.
Yvonne said the funding was “fab”, adding: “We are passionate about what we do and this funding will allow us to support more people with learning difficulties with their education.”
The latest theatre project is a trilogy of plays covering personal and social education.
