Pupils from Gorebridge Primary aim to be seen this winter thanks to a donation by Taylor Wimpey of high-viz wristbands

Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey has donated high-visibility wristbands to children at Gorebridge Primary to help keep them safe on their walk to school.

The donation has been made as part of the school’s Walk To Week, which was designed to encourage children and parents to make walking to school part of their daily routine, encouraging a healthy lifestyle and minimising car journeys.

Gorebridge Primary’s depute head teacher Mrs Copeland said: “We encourage the children to walk to school for the sake of their health and to avoid unnecessary congestion outside the school.”
