Scottish Housing Minister Margaret Burgess has visited Midlothian to see a number of projects, including a new affordable housing development at Kippielaw on the edge of Dalkeith.
Ms Burgess also met with a private housing tenant who had benefited from the Home Energy Efficiency Programme for Scotland.
The scheme is a Scottish Government initiative, administered through Midlothian Council to help insulate homes.
The aim of the scheme is to help people, who may be suffering from fuel poverty, install insulation in their home so that it cuts down on heating costs.
