Police are appealing for witnesses after thieves broke into an address in Howgate while the occupants were asleep.
The incident took place between 9pm last night (Wednesday, September 25) and 7am this morning (Thursday, September 26) at a house in the village.
The suspects forced entry to the house whilst the occupants were sleeping. The suspects took a quantity of jewellery, cash and other personal items before also stealing the occupant’s black BMW M3 car, which was used to leave the area.

“We would also like to remind people to be vigilant and ensure the windows and doors of their property are secure.”
Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, or make an anonymous report through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
