The Advertiser is hosting a debate on the independence referendum.

We’ve assembled a special panel – three from the Yes camp and three from the No – to take part in a Question Time-style discussion.

And we’re inviting our readers to take part as members of the audience – plus we want your suggestions for questions to put to the panel.

The debate will take place at McSence Business Park in Mayfield on Thursday, April 3, from 7-9pm. It is free to attend, but numers are limited, so please email us to book your place here.

Also use this method to send us your suggestions for questions to put to the panel.

If you don’t have access to email, call our newsdesk on 0131 561 6614.

Yes Dalkeith is to hold a public meeting in Dalkeith Arts Centre on Wednesday, March 26 at 7pm.

Speakers include author and playwright Alan Bissett, Joan McAlpine MSP (SNP) and Natalie McGarry (Women for Independence). There will be an informal question and answer session after the speeches.

Yes Midlothian will be holding a public meeting in Lasswade High School Centre, Bonnyrigg, on Thursday, April 10 at 7pm.

Chaired by journalist Derek Bateman, the panel of speakers will include Blair Jenkins (Yes Scotland), Jil Murphy (Business for Scotland), Colin Fox (Scottish Socialist Party), Robin McAlpine (Jimmy Reid Foundation Common Weal) and Midlothian Councillor Ian Baxter (Scottish Green Party).
