As part of our ongoing debate on what Independence would mean for Midlothian, readers have submitted questions they would like the answers to before deciding how to vote in September’s referendum.
This week’s question, from Ron Campbell, is:
‘I live in Scotland and receive a State pension administered by the Pensions Agency Newcastle. I have a Royal Air Force pension administered by Paymaster in Gloucester. I have a Civil Service pension (wholly earned in Scotland), but administered in Bath. My National Insurance records are administered by HM Revenue in Newcastle and all my Income Tax records are administered by HM Revenue in Cardiff.
Can anyone convince me that all of these records can be gathered and amalgamated in the 15 months between the vote and independance day, so that I receive each of my pensions on time and in full?’
