One of Scotland’s oldest ex-servicemen’s clubs closed its doors on Sunday after a four-year fight for survival.
On Tuesday, Loanhead Ex-Servicemen’s Club committee petitioned the Sheriff Court to have a provisional liquidator appointed.
By next week it is hoped interim liquidators David Rutherford and David McFarlane of Cowan and Parnters will be appointed.
Mr McFarlane told the Advertiser: “The club is no longer able to pay the debts as they fall due with the result of having insufficient working capital to continue trading.”
