A fresh bid by the Westminster Government to reintroduce haggis exports to the US has been welcomed in Loanhead.
A ban on beef and lamb exports to North America was introduced in the 1990s.
Jo Macsween, a director with the award-winning haggis manufacturer Macsween, said: “The UK and Scotland within it should be really proud of the quality of its meat and we have a global reputation for what we produce.
“I really hope America in time sees fit to make it a bit easier for us to deal with them.”
