Assurances have been given that a new roundabout at Straiton is fit to take large vehicles.
Loanhead and District Community Council members were shown a DVD of a low loader successfully turning onto the new relief road.
As previously reported in the Advertiser, concerns had been expressed that lorries would have difficulties turning from Straiton and avoiding the traffic island.
Simon Dormer, for Straiton Park Limited, said the roundabout’s dimensions had been agreed after a number of years’ discussion with planning officers.
