A passing motorist has spoken of his desperate bid to save the life of a pedestrian who was struck by a car on the City Bypass at Straiton.
Archie Tipple (36) administered CPR as he battled in vain to save Edinburgh man Brian Bulloch (47) who had collided with a Vauxhall Insignia on the busy bypass on November 28.
The accident happened on the eastbound carriageway at around 7.20pm.
Mr Tipple, from Falkirk, had been on a business trip when he became caught up in traffic at the scene.
He told the Advertiser: “As I was being directed past [the accident] I could see that a police officer was giving CPR to a guy on the road.
“I offered to help and took over chest compressions as we waited for the ambulance to arrive.”
