SEVEN Midlothian primary schools are to be the subject of a major council review.
Midlothian Council wants to examine the county’s denominational school estate, focusing on building fabric and the size of school rolls.
Sacred Heart in Penicuik, St Andrew’s in Gorebridge, St David’s in Dalkeith, St Luke’s in Mayfield, St Margaret’s in Loanhead, St Mary’s in Bonnyrigg and St Matthew’s in Rosewell are the schools which will be examined.
The start of a consultation process was due to be discussed by members of the council’s cabinet on Tuesday – but the issue was deferred to the next meeting.
