A Roslin-based firm has teamed up with a major pub chain to allow customers to order and pay for food on their smartphones.
Mobile technology company QikServe has entered into a partnership with pub and bar group TCG to allow its selfservice ordering system be used at its Covent Garden flagship premises, Henry’s Cafe Bar.
The app allows customers to use their Android or iOS smartphone to scan a QR code on their table, which reveals the menu of food and drinks. Customers then select a payment option and the order is then transmitted to the bar where it is fulfilled as normal.
QikServe has been based at the Midlothian Innovation Centre for two years.
