Roslin and Bilston Community First Responders are toasting the success of their recent coffee morning.
The venture raised just over £300 meaning the group has reached its target to purchase a public access defibrillator for Roslin and Bilston.
Co-ordinator Jean Bassindale said: “Our coffee morning was well supported. Fundraising will continue to purchase wall boxes and more defibrillators.”
She added that the appeal had been boosted by a £210 donation from Roslin resident Ms Chrys Schlapak, which she had raised at private events.
Meanwhile, the Scottish Government has launched a £1 million scheme so defibrillators will be installed at every NHS dental practice across Scotland.
