A new scheme which offers help and support to Midlothian employers has been praised by a senior Scottish minister.

Angela Constance MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Training, Youth and Women’s Employment, told a recent seminar that efforts were being made to make support more readily available.

More than 70 Midlothian employers attended the event at the Pentlands Science Park.

Ms Constance highlighted the Midlothian Employment Action Network (MEAN), a new one-stop shop for business support and advice bringing together a number of agencies who are now collaborating in order to make accessing help as simple as possible.
