Midlothian police have embarked on an Easter antisocial behaviour campaign.
High visibility patrols will target areas in Dalkeith, Mayfield and Bonnyrigg in the evenings and at closing time to prevent antisocial incidents and vandalism.
The Easter operation, which will run until April 22, recognises that antisocial behaviour increases significantly during school holidays.
Prior to the schools breaking up last week, school link and community officers spoke to pupils about the consequences of becoming involved in antisocial incidents, the consumption of alcohol and substance misuse, and the use of off-road trial motorbikes.
