A Bonnyrigg girl who raised more than £4,000 for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation has been honoured on the big stage.
Cerebral Palsy sufferer Amy MacBeath (8) picked up the Radio Forth and Cash for Kids award at a glittering ceremony at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall on November 7.
Born three months premature, she requires daily physiotherapy sessions to strengthen her legs.
Overcoming her mobility issues, brave Amy completed a triple challenge, running a junior race at the Edinburgh Marathon in May before going on to complete a three-mile Challenge Scotland walk in June and five-kilometer Big Fun Run in July.
An emotional night at the Usher Hall saw her receive a standing ovation. Along with sister Cara (5), she was also taken backstage to meet her favourite boy band JLS.
