The new Life Sciences Minister George Freeman visited Midlothian on Monday during a tour of some of the world’s leading research facilities.
The Conservative MP visited the Roslin Institute, based at Easter Bush, and the Edinburgh BioQuarter, at Little France, Edinburgh.
Mr Freeman was touring centres with a world-class reputation for science and research which receive funding through the UK Research Council. Afterwards, he tweeted it was “Great to visit + see world class Scottish #LifeScience cluster in #AgriTech #Genomics”
