Residents at a Loanhead caravan park angry at the possibility that the A701 road could be realigned close to their homes.
A delegation from Pentland Park attended a recent meeting of Loanhead Community Council to raise their concerns. The draft Midlothian Local Plan asked the public for their views on issues including a proposal to re-route the A701.
The plan takes the road from Straiton towards Old Pentland, cutting through land between Cameron Woods and Pentland Park Caravan Park before joining Seafield Moor Road.
Councillor Owen Thompson (SNP) said that, although the consultation period was over, no decisions had been made. Councillors were still awaiting a report on feedback to the draft Local Plan.
