No action on Dalkeith pub complaints

Calls for a review of the premises licence at an Eskbank pub have been turned down by Midlothian Licensing Board.

The decision was made after Dalhousie Road resident Douglas Brennan expressed concerns about the levels of late night noise at the Justinlees Inn.

Mr Brennan wrote to the Board in July, confirming that his request for a review of the licence was in relation to “a disregard for preventing public nuisance”.

Making oral representations before the Board on December 3, he explained that there had been issues relating to the burglar alarm and beer garden at the Eskbank Toll pub.
