The Polton riverside path which leads to Mavisbank House, Loanhead

Work has begun to upgrade paths and provide a new pedestrian access into the grounds of Mavisbank House, Loanhead.

Improvements are being made to the existing riverside path at Polton with a new gate access. The path will link to the upper section of the south drive and the house.

The work is being carried out by the Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust of behalf of the Mavisbank Trust with funding from the Tyne Esk LEADER, Scottish Natural Heritage and environment funding from five Midlothian councillors.
