New jogging sessions for beginners start tomorrow (Sunday), perhaps the perfect timing to help you push on with some New Year’s resolutions?

A new Jogscotland group has been formed in Pathhead and is looking for local people to get involved.

Alison Binns, the group’s Jog Leader, was an Olympic Torch Bearer in 2012.

She said: “This new group will be suitable for complete beginners.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re nervous about starting to exercise, or anxious about getting back into running, we promise to make it a relaxed, enjoyable experience and build up your confidence in a friendly, sociable atmosphere.

“All the leaders are keen amateur runners with a range of experience, from short jogs through to marathons, but we all remember starting from scratch.”

Alison explained when and where you can get involved in her group.

She said: “We will be running in the beautiful countryside around Pathhead, meeting at the pavilion in Callander Park on Sundays, 10.30 - 11.30 from January 26, all welcome- come and try it out.”
