A PENICUIK cafe is facing closure because planners say there are too many eateries in the town centre.
The threat to Salsa’s Diner in The Square has caused anger in the town, sparking a campaign for it to remain open.
A petition on the GoPetition website has attracted more than 350 signatories.
The rallying call follows Midlothian Council’s rejection of a retrospective planning application by the cafe owner, Salsa Porteous.
