The independence referendum campaign trail returned to Loanhead when Prime Minister David Cameron visited MacTaggart Scott.
The PM toured the workshops and met staff at the maritime engineering firm.
After touring the Hunter Avenue factory, Mr Cameron said Scotland could “have the best of both worlds” if it remained in the United Kingdom.
However, Midlothian MSP Colin Beattie (SNP) said a Yes vote could boost the engineering and defence sectors in Scotland: “We will be able to re-deploy the money spent on Trident into land forces that strongly support engineering.”
