A family-run rapeseed oil company from Gorebridge now has one of its products on the shelves of Scotmid stores across the country.

Supernature’s original oil has been stocked in the supermarket chain’s 400 stores across Scotland since April.

Lynn Mann from Super-nature is delighted.

She said: “We are really pleased. It’s really big.

“While we don’t think supermarkets are the be all and end all, it gives us a really full coverage throughout Scotland.

“We started this three years ago as a wee sideline.

“Now we are in beside the major brands.

“We have been going into the Gorebridge supermarket to keep a check on them.

“It’s quite a thrill seeing it on the shelf.

“And we’ve had texts from all over the country from people saying they have seen them in their local store.

“We are hoping it will enable us to provide more employment if it goes well.”

Carrington Barns Farm, home of Supernature, is a small, traditionally-run farm, which Lynn’s family have been tenants of for five generations, since 1852.
