A Midlothian high school has received international recognition for its work in forging stronger educational links with Africa.
Penicuik High School has been awarded the British Council’s International School Award for its partnership work with Thyolo Secondary School in Malawi.
The award is presented to schools which carry out outstanding work in international education, such as through links with partner schools overseas.
Penicuik High School’s international work includes a partnership with Thyolo Secondary School in Malawi. There have been three visits by Penicuik pupils to Thyolo in the past five years.
