The latest twist in the ongoing saga over carbon dioxide levels in a Gorebridge street took place last week.
Gas monitors in properties on Newbyres Crescent, Gorebridge have been moved from living rooms to cupboards. Residents claim they won’t hear the alarm if it went off.
Five homes have been evacuated from the street since unusually high levels of carbon dioxide were discovered there in September.
Dawn Hamilton who lives on the street kindly let us deliberately set the alarm off and film it so you can see for yourself why locals fear they wouldn’t hear it go off.
