Flooding is causing problems in Dalkeith less than three years since £1.2 million was spent on improving town centre pavements, closes, street lighting and road surfaces.

Dalkeith Community Councillor Ann Stewart-Kmicha told a recent meeting of the watchdog group: “We’re still having problems with the water lying around at the top of North Wynd.

“This shouldn’t be happening so soon after major works were undertaken.”
