A sparkling project, aimed at equipping Midlothian teenages with the skills to work in retail, has secured vital funding.
The Volunteer Centre Midlothian’s Get Ready for Retail: Beadazzling Project was the final project to qualify for People’s Millions funding on Friday.
The scheme missed out earlier in the week on securing the £45,000 it needed to become a reality.
But, thanks to backing from Advertiser readers and the wider Midlothian community, the project received the highest number of votes of the remaining projects to secure the bonus grant.
