Britons are said to be a nation of dog lovers.
But a recent survey suggests that we’ve fallen out of love with our national dog, the British Bulldog.
Two-thirds of those questioned said the bulldog was a completely outdated symbol for Britain and would like to see a new dog take its place as the ‘national animal’.
And 67 per cent agreed that the King Charles Spaniel would be a more appropriate canine champion that the bulldog.
