National Mining Museum Scotland will open late on Friday for a Brassed Off themed extravaganza as part of the Museums at Night Festival.
Newtongrange Silver Band will kick off the evening on the atmospheric Pithead with music from the sound track of the 1996 movie, including Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez.
Following a short interval with refreshments, Brassed Off will be shown on the big screen in the Newtongrange tourist attraction’s Power House.
Gillian Rankin, marketing and events officer is hoping for a night to remember.
She said: “We’re delighted that Newtongrange Silver Band will be performing this music on the Pithead prior to the screening.
“Brassed Off is a much-loved film which resonates with many people in this area and we hope the community will come along, support the band and enjoy the evening.”
Tickets are on sale at the museum now, priced £10 (including refreshments).
