Beautiful scenery, exotic wildlife and an amazing culture – for many, nothing could be better than jetting off to Malawi, known as the “warm heart of Africa”.
But for Bonnyrigg’s Paul Glynn, that’s not enough – and he will be using pedal power to radically improve the lives of poor children.
The 32-year-old is to cycle 250 miles in five days, following the same route as Scots missionary and explorer Dr Livingstone, as part of a fundraising drive by Link Community Development, which works to improve the quality of education in Africa.
