A man has been arrested following an alleged attempted knifepoint robbery in Roslin.
The incident happened around 10.30am yesterday (Tuesday, July 21) at a convenience store in Main Street and resulted in a 38-year-old woman sustaining minor injuries.
The 29-year-old was scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today (Wednesday, July 22) and police are continuing with their local inquiries in the area.
Anyone who has information that can assist with this investigation is asked to come forward.
Detective Inspector Stevie Bertram said: “This was a frightening ordeal for the woman, who was working within the store and a male was quickly arrested in connection with this incident.
“Nevertheless we are keen to hear from anyone who remembers seeing anything suspicious in the area on Tuesday morning and would urge those who believe they have information relevant to our inquiry to contact police immediately.”
