Mapping out a better future in Bilston

Hoping to have a say in how Bilston’s future is mapped out are members of the local activities group.

Last week, the Bilston Activities Group hosted a community event in Bilston Church Hall to thank local residents for their support, update them on progress with the footpath regeneration works and gauge opinion on new hot topics.

To identify areas of concern or requiring attention around the village, the children from the community art group produced a massive 3D map of the area detailing the local streets, the school, park, and nearby fields earmarked for housing.

BAG member Joy Innes-Greig told the Advertiser: “They have been highlighting problems such as littering in the village, and the railings along the A701.”
