Midfest Family Fun Day takes place this Sunday (11.30am-7pm)at Dalkeith Country Park, with kids’ favourites Funbox returning to the main stage.

The trio formerly known as The Singing Kettle are looking forward to their performance.

Kevin MacLeod of Funbox, said: “We did it last year and weren’t sure what to expect. It was great fun, so we are very much looking forward to it.

“We will be performing a version of our ‘Animal Magic’ show. However, because it’s a festival Bonzo can’t come, and we are on a tight timescale. So we might stick a song in from ‘Pirate Party’ or something else. As it is a festival it’s maybe a chance for people that have not seen us before. So to pull people in we might throw a few classics in like ‘Over the Irish Sea’ as that’s great for audience participation.”

Tickets are £3 for adults in advance, £5 on the door. Child tickets (16 and under) are free.
