A FUNDRAISING ceilidh will be held this Friday to support a concert tour of Germany by two Midlothian school bands.
The dance featuring traditional music and entertainment, will take place in Loanhead Miners’ Welfare Club at 7.30pm. Tickets, priced £5 and £3, will be on sale at the door.
The evening will start with a special performance from the Lasswade High School Concert Band, followed by a toe-tapping set from the Midlothian Schools’ Ceilidh Band.
The ceilidh is being organised by Midlothian Council’s instrumental music service, which aims to raise funds for the ceilidh band and the Lasswade concert band to visit Germany for a series of musical performances this summer.
