Midlothian centre’s £10m research award

A LEADING Midlothian science centre is to receive £10 million to fund its animal research programme.

The Roslin Institute at Easter Bush will receive the capital to support the development of an international livestock improvement centre.

This latest award, announced on Monday, follows The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council’s recent grant of £1.1 million to ARK-Genomics, a DNA sequencing facility at the institute which focuses on the genetics and genomics of livestock species.
