Midlothian Council freesheet labelled a ‘propaganda rag’

Opposition parties at Midlothian Council are calling for the local authority’s publication Midlothian News, to be scrapped.

Delivered to 37,000 households and businesses throughout the county, it comes out six times a year at the cost of around £6,500 per edition.

Bonnyrigg Councillor Ian Baxter (Green), has labelled the publication “a propaganda rag for the council”.

His comments were made at a recent meeting of Bonnyrigg and Lasswade Community Council.
