Midlothian Council has launched its latest initiative to recruit more local foster carers to help look after the county’s youngsters.
The campaign asks if anyone would like to set an extra place at the table next Christmas.
In the last financial year, the council recruited 13 new ‘pairs’ of foster carers, which meant that no child had to be fostered outwith Midlothian in the past 18 months.
The council provides a range of training to enable foster carers to meet the challenge of foster care.
Carers are paid both a fee and an allowance.
