A LAMBING awareness initiative in rural Midlothian has been hailed a success.

Dog owners using the Flotterstone Glen area of Pentland Hills Regional Park have been praised for keeping their pets under control and on leads near fields of livestock.

It follows a joint partnership between police and Pentland Hills Regional Park in April, a campaign which led to no sheep worrying incidents. The initiative was set up in response to an increasing level of incidents in the Regional Park.
