One of Midlothian’s most historic locations has been included on a new movie map highlighting key sites across the Lothians.
Movie stars Tom Hanks and Audrey Tatou spent a few days at Rosslyn Chapel filming scenes for “The Da Vinci Code” (2006).
A hidden gem in Midlothian, it was Dan Brown’s 2003 novel of the same name which gave the Roslin church international fame.
Visitors from all over the world flocked to the chapel after reading the book and then watching the Holywood blockbuster.
At the same time, the building was undergoing an extensive operation to remove the damp and carry out restoration work to the exterior and interior of the property.
