Just a year since opening, a hospital garden in Bonnyrigg is already proving to be a hit with patients and visitors.
Thanks to green-fingered volunteers, the attraction at Midlothian Community Hospital has been wowing all who enter its gates.
Daisy Muir, garden co-ordinator, said: “I’m amazed at how much we have achieved.
“It took a lot of work to prepare the garden, especially when it was cold and wet during winter. Feedback has been really positive –locals remember when the plot was a field full of cows.”
Volunteers are invited to muck-in between 10am-4pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
