MSP for Midlothian North Colin Beattie has joined the fight against breast cancer by taking part in Breast Cancer Campaign’s biggest (and pinkest) fundraiser, wear it pink day.
Over the last 10 years wear it pink has raised a staggering £23 million and on Friday, October 25 people will come together in schools, colleges and businesses across Scotland to raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Campaign’s lifesaving research.
Mr Beattie said: “Breast Cancer is a massive issue. In Scotland, 4,400 people are diagnosed with it and unfortunately 1,000 die from the disease each year. It is important that, where we can, we support campaigns such as the Breast Cancer Campaign so that they can continue to fund their efforts to find a cure. I would urge all of my constituents to take part in Wear it Pink Day and make a donation to the campaign.”
Breast Cancer Campaign vitally needs the money raised from wear it pink for its researchers to have the best possible chance to find the cure.
