Midlothian restaurant worker has the V Factor!

A RESTAURANT worker is preparing to fly the flag for Midlothian at the final of a national contest.

Eskbank woman Carolyn Reid (26) is to travel to Birmingham after emerging victorious in the regional heat of The V-Factor competition.

The contest sees staff from all Vintage Inns in the UK go up against each other in a bid to win a grand prize.

Carolyn is a team leader at the Melville Inn. The Lasswade bar and restaurant is one of only 12 Vintage Inns in Scotland, and is the only one in Midlothian.
