Midlothian Council’s latest holiday activities programme was launched recently.
The programme is available in Midlothian Council libraries and leisure centres.

The cabinet member for sport and leisure, Councillor Derek Rosie (SNP) said: “It can be a challenge keeping the kids entertained during the school holidays.

“Not to worry though, our packed programme of summer sports and activities is here to answer your SOS.”

There’s something for everyone with activities starting in early July and running into August. But, you need to book soon as places can fill up fast.

Young people can choose from everything from trampolining to tennis, football to fun inflatables sessions in their local pool.

This year there’s also the return of the summer camps for sports such as aquatics and rugby.

Cara McCafferty (8), of Lasswade Primary, is keen to continue with her sporting passion – gymnastics. Meanwhile, Evie Blair (9), who also goes to Lasswade Primary, plans to try football.
