Three young Midlothian swimmers have been selected to attend a Scottish Swimming training event due to their swim performances throughout this year.
Coupled with the result of impressing at the Sasa East District Regional talented swimmers programme days, Jamie Ferguson, Jodie Finlay and Fraser Wilson have been invited to attend a further intensive day of swim training at the National swimming academy in Stirling.
Jamie Ferguson is set to attend the freestyle camp with Jodie Finlay, whilst Fraser Wilson has been selected to attend a breastsroke camp. All the swimmers are thrilled to have been selected. Head coach Colin Barton said: “It is a great reflection of the pool of talent that we have here at Midlothian Swimming Club.
“They did really well to shine sufficiently during their training days which resulted in their selection for these camps. They can now look forward to joining some of the top age group swimmers in the country where they will work on an individual stroke.”
The Camps are set to take place in April and provide an opportunity for swimmers of different ages and their coaches to gain feedback to help the youngsters improve further, developing their technical skills to hopefully turn these swimmers into sports stars of the future.
